Custom built in 1931 for one of America’s richest heiresses, this magnificent four masted sailing ship played host to royalty, heads of state and the cream of society. After a period of disuse she was restored to her former glory in 1979 and further renovations in 1993 increased cabin space and added luxurious bathrooms. Each cabin has a sea view, private bathroom, comfortable bed, air conditioning, phone, safe and plenty of storage space.
The elegant wood panelled dining room is hung with oil paintings and is able to accommodate all passengers in one sitting. A library provides an area of quiet among the bustle. Sea Cloud is fitted out with the latest technical equipment and it is possible to receive phone calls and faxes whilst aboard. There is also a video recorder, overhead and slide projectors.
On deck there is ample space for sunbathing and relaxing and the deck bar means that refreshment is always on hand. When at anchor there is plenty watersports equipment available for the more energetic, including windsurfers, snorkels and water-skis.
